After the rain....or snow!

This morning I went jogging and couldnt believe how beautiful it was. I love the smell after rain. Its hard for me to understand how some people dont believe in God, when you see his beautiful creations!

Salsa Recipe

People have been asking for my salsa recipe so I decided to post the recipe with photos. Give it a try! I hope you like it! Here's a list of the ingredients.
Crushed and diced tomatoes
Cilantro
Garlic
Onion
Pasilla or poblano chilies
Yellow chilies (looks like yellow Jalapeno)
Serrano chilies
Jalapenos
Salt
All these ingredients in the picture made a huge bowl, probably more than a gallon.

Salsa recipe

Cut all the chilies in half and De-seed the ones you want De-seeded. You can see that I left seeds in the Serrano's and jalapenos and De-seeded the rest. place all chilies and onions on a foil-lined cookie sheet and place on the top rack of oven under the broiler. Broil the veggies until they burn on the one side. Flip the veggies over and burn the other side. As you can see the veggies are BURNED. The blacker, the better!

Place the cilantro (large bunch) and garlic (I used 5 cloves) in food processor or blender. Add the burned veggies and blend together.

Pour your crushed and diced tomatoes into a large bowl and add the blended mixture. Add salt to taste.

Stir together and this is the finished product.

Arizona

We just got back from Arizona and I thought I'd post a few photos. This year the American Institute of Steel Construction had their annual conference in Phoenix, which was nice since most of Donna's family is out there. The men went to the conference and us girls and the kiddos played. It was a nice trip.

The Science fair

Lily wanted to enter the science fair at school this year. We decided to buy white flowers and show how flowers drink water, by putting food color in their water. As you can see the flower pedals changed color. The flowers on the left are the original white flowers. She didn't win an award, but we had a fun time experimenting. It was my fault since I forgot how to present the project. We had a hypothesis and conclusion and all that, but I didn't post them on her board. Its been years since Ive been to a science fair.

Someones excited!
We spent 6 days in Cali and had a great time! The weather was perfect and we got to spend some time with family and loved every minute of it. It's been hard coming home to such cold weather. Good thing spring is on it's way!
