Anthony, the Birthday boy!!

December 11th was Anthonys fourth birthday! He started the day off wanting an english muffin with a candle.

We went to Angels office and Angel suprised him with some presents.

Anthony with his poor ghetto cake. Now I remember why I usually order one. I dont bake well. Oh-well, he loved it!

Present time

We are so blessed to have Anthony in our family. He is so funny! He seems so much older than he is. He loves music and the radio is never loud enough. He is so sweet and definately a mammas boy. He says when he gets bigger we will get married and then we can get a baby. He is such in important part of our lives. We love you dudie!

Playing in the leaves

Anthony was exhausted from decorating the tree.

We loved our tree that we bought at Lowes. Well as of last sunday, the tree is officially DEAD. I mean dead! I feel like it will burst into flames at any moment, even with the lights unplugged. It makes me very sad. Im so temted every day to take it down. All the branches are sagging and the ornaments are falling off.

Better late than never right?

Angel took this picture of Anthony on my grandmas toilet. Who knows why but I think its cute.

Family Pictures

I am a major slacker! Updating my blog hasn't been a priority in my life if you can't tell. We did get some family pictures taken the day after Thanksgiving. My cousin Dustin is a photographer and has worked with some really famous people. We don't get to see him much, but he was up for thanksgiving and took our family pictures. It was the best picture taking experience ever. It was getting dark and so we just pulled over on the side of the road and took about 12 pictures in about 4 minutes. The kids cooperated even though Anthony was sick. I remember the days of kids crying and fighting or making funny faces etc. It was great to get it done so quick and come out with some nice pictures. Thanks Yobi!

We had a family fish taco night. We caught a lot of fish on our trip to oregon and it was stinking up our freezer. I decided it was time to use it. Everyone came over and we had a great dinner and then we went through some family pictures my mom had. We had a good time together.

Our funny boy Anthony eating smores.

Toothless Lily! Angel loves to watch her eat. Especially Apples. She has to eat from the side of her mouth and takes tiny bites like a little animal!

We roasted weenies and had smores in our back yard. Thats as close as it gets to camping for our family. Whenever I tell Angel I want to go camping, he replies, "I grew up with no electricity or running water, why would I want to do that for fun?" Its true, but I still know the kids would love it.

Last day for the Little Luann snack for the '08 season. They sold Lemonade, chicken quesadillas, candy and apples. They made$28.00

I took the kids to zion over fall break. We hiked the emerald pools. It was the perfect time of year to go. My friend Stacha took her kids and their friends. It was a lot of fun!

Who likes bean tostadas?

Lily and Anthony do!

Working with Dad

Its that time again! Time to get stocked up on wood for the winter. Angel spent a few hours splitting wood and Anthony stacked it for him. I love his little squat to drop the wood.

Meet Gary

Want to know what we do for fun in Virgin at the Staples compound? Meet Gary. Gary is the kids pet tumbleweed. They found him at my dads house and tied a rope to him and dragged him around like their pet. When they were done playing with him the tied him to the fence so he wouldnt blow away. I love when kids use their imaginations!

Zion and Kolob

Saturday before last we decided to head up to zion for a picnic in the rain. We brought some of the cousins. We had fun playing in the rain. We were all soaking wet when we got home. Then sunday we drove up to Kolob in between sessions. I cant remember the last time I went to Kolob. Probably at least 3 years. It is hard to believe it is right up the road from us! So beautiful!

My Birthday

I want to thank my family and friends for the wonderful birthday I had yesterday. I got to spend time with a bunch of my friends from high school. We went to lunch at oscars in Springdale. Thank you for all of the thoughtful gifts also. I love them. I am blessed to have such good friends who have loved and supported me and my family, especially this past year. We then went to John and Lorenas for dinner. It was nice to spend time with them and Joels family. Lorena made some delilcious crapes. I love my family and love spending time with them no matter what were doing. Thanks everybody!

Cooking with Mom

Last sunday Lily told me she was going to have lunch with her cousin Kloie after church. After a while I looked out toward the family cemetary and this is what I saw. Lily and her cousins had made a picnic and went over to the cemetary to have lunch with Grandma Luann. They then got buckets and were pretending to cook with her. That was one of her favorite things to do with my mom. I think we are so blessed to have my mom buried here where the kids know shes close. I took this picture of the rainbow saturday It looked like it was going right over the cemetary.

Its fall!

O.K., i've been having a hard time getting into the new fall season. I decided to just get my stuff out and it helped a little. When I was younger (13 or 14) we used to travel to Missouri to visit my aunt every year. One year we went close to fall. Everyone had their yards and porches decorated with bails of hay, scarecrows, pumpkins etc. I had never seen anything like that in Utah. We have done it ever since then. Well except when we lived in mexico, and had the flood.
